Hello! I want to take a moment and tell you a little bit about myself. My dad was in the Air Force, so I moved around when I was growing up. I graduated from the University of Portland in Oregon. I have been teaching kindergarten for 19 years.
My husband, Steve, and I have 3 children. They are all grown up and living their own adventures out in the world. My favorite thing is when they come home to visit. I enjoy reading, gardening and camping.
We are are going to have an awesome year learning and exploring together!

Genifer Harris

Teacher

Welcome to our Kindergarten Family! I'm Genifer Harris and I've been teaching for 23 years. I taught 3rd grade for 9 years and I've been privileged to be teaching Kindergarten students these last 15 years. I grew up in Prince William County, living here since I was 4 years old. I graduated from George Mason with a Masters in Education.  My husband is in the United States Air Force and we have two affectionate & energetic children. Connor is 9 years old and attending 4th grade. Presley is 5 years old and attending Kindergarten. I absolutely love my job and enjoy watching children develop a passion for learning, especially reading! Teaching in the classroom is my 'happy place,' so I love being given the privilege to spend the day with your child!

My mission is to provide every child with a foundation for life-long learning and to inspire the children to challenge themselves while developing strong friendships in a safe, loving and nurturing environment.

Should you need to contact me, I look forward to speaking with you!

I am beginning my 24th year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten for 16 years at Mary Williams. I received my degree from The University of New York at Plattsburgh. My husband, Jim, and I have 2 children- Jacqueline who is a senior and Jimmy who is in 5th grade. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, shopping, exercising and baking.

I have mentored several teachers and student teachers over the years. I love teaching Kindergarten because children at this age are like little sponges and absorb everything. Kindergarten is the best!

I have been a kindergarten teacher assistant at Mary Williams for 16 years. I enjoy helping helping children go from little kids to big school kids.  I love watching the progression from being dependent on adults at the start of the school year to independent problem solvers at the end of the school year.
