It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to see that their child attends school on time, everyday. It is important that you stress how important coming to school truly is.
Students who enter class tardy are disruptive to classroom instruction. The teacher must stop instruction to prepare the tardy child for class or the child must wait and perhaps miss some of the instruction. This also applies to students leaving early. The teacher has to stop instruction to help the student pack up and give them any classwork or homework they need. Plus instruction takes place from 9:00AM to 3:30PM so it is important students are here for the entire day.

If your child is going to be absent, we ask that you call our

attendance line -  703-445-8379
before school starts.

Please send a note with your child when they come back explaining why they were absent.

The best way for your child to succeed at our school is to have them here everyday learning. Thank you for your cooperation and support. By working together, we can better ensure the success of your child at Mary F. Williams Elementary.
