2020 marks my 8th year in teaching ESOL. I have worked with children in many capacities for the last 27 years. I hold degrees in Early Childhood Development, English Literature, and a Master of Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language. I am fluent in the Turkish and German languages. Working with and advocating for students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds has become my passion and calling. It is my firm belief that our multilingual students enrich our schools and classrooms with their diverse and unique experiences and allow us, as teachers, to learn from them, making the learning experience a two-way road we travel together.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, Taekwondo, and spending quality time with my family.

I am very excited to begin my third year as an ESOL Teacher with our amazing Panther Cubs. Prior to becoming an ESOL Teacher at Mary Williams, I was full-time Substitute Teacher for four years and a Social Worker for ten years.  I love supporting our English Language Learners (ELL) and helping their families navigate our education system. I can identify with them, as I have been through the journey of learning English as a second language.  I believe our children deserve an opportunity to sprout in a thriving environment.  Outside of the school, I enjoy empowering others to live healthier and happier. I love running, spending time with my family and traveling. I look forward to take on the new adventures with our MWES scholars.
