March is Youth Art Month (YAM).  Several PWCS students participated in a state-wide YAM Flag Design Contest with over two hundred submissions from across Virginia.  The annual competition seeks a design combining imagery representing Virginia, art, the YAM logo and the current theme. First through fourth place winners were selected for each level; elementary, middle, and high school.

Four PWCS students were selected as winners!

High School
1st Place: Anna Mentzel, 12th grade, Brentsville District HS
4th Place: Emily Polen, 12th grade, Brentsville District HS

Elementary School
1st Place: Olivia Kim, 5th grade, Bristow Run Elementary
2nd Place: Marcus Burleson, 5th grade, Bristow Run Elementary
