School is out for summer

Welcome
to

Our School Counselor Website!

Announcements from the Counselors:

Dear Students and Families,

We miss you all and hope you are all safe and doing well! Although school is out for the summer we are thinking of you every day. The last suggested activities that we closed the school year out with can still be found below if you're interested. The specialists worked hard to create weekly BINGO board for the remainder of the 2019-2020 virtual school year. Resources and activities from previous weeks will be located under the Resource tab on the counselor website.

PWCS cares deeply about students’ emotional well-being during the summer break.  If a student is in need of emotional support during this time, please feel free to send an e-mail to studentsupportservices@pwcs.edu.  A school mental health or health professional will answer and offer virtual support to students to the best of their ability.  This e-mail is not to be used for emergency situations as it will not be monitored 24 hours a day.  If a student is ever in an emergency situation he/she is encouraged to call 911 or utilize one of the resources listed below:

Attention 4th Grade Families!!!

Safe at Home, Safe Alone Choice Board

Due to the unexpected school closure, we were not able to fulfill the requirement of reviewing the Safe at Home, Safe Alone guidelines with our 4th grade students in person this year. Here is a link to the electronic copy of the Safe at Home, Safe Alone Youth Workbook to review with your children. https://bit.ly/3cH0ZPP
We encourage you to review the workbook with your children and complete the user friendly choice board (link is above) that has been created to support the learning material in the workbook. The activities listed in the choice board are to help your children develop safety plans for when they stay home alone. Further explanation of these activity choices can be found throughout the workbook.
We strongly encourage your children to complete these activities so they can be prepared to safely stay home alone. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Myers at myersnt@pwcs.edu.
Thank you,
Mrs. Myers
